DMS Webinar Series – Part 2

Borderless Planning in Practice: How AI Reduces Cycle Time and Improves Decisions

AI won’t replace planners, but it can reduce decision latency.

This ASCLA webinar by DMS shows how borderless planning works in practice, using AI to speed decisions, improve visibility, and cut planning cycle time.

Date:  Wednesday, 22 April 2026
Time:  12.00noon – 1.00pm (ADST)
Cost:  No Charge

Registrations close at COB on Tuesday, 21 April 2026

ABOUT THIS EVENT

AI is changing supply chain planning, but not in the way most marketing suggests. The biggest opportunity is not replacing planners, but reducing decision latency by improving how work, information and accountability move across systems, teams and partners.

In this second ASCLA webinar delivered by DMS, we translate the idea of borderless planning into practical patterns you can apply immediately. This session builds directly on Session 1, moving from diagnosis to action.

We explore three high-value AI use cases that directly address planning friction:

  • Exception triage that prioritises what actually needs human attention
  • Scenario comparison that accelerates trade-off decisions
  • Workflow orchestration that routes decisions with context, visibility and auditability

We also cover the guardrails that matter, including data readiness, governance, explainability and decision rights, so AI strengthens trust rather than undermines it.

PRESENTERS

Elton Brown – Senior Consultant, DMS (Demand Management Systems) and Adjunct Lecturer, University of Sydney
Elton is a passionate advocate for smarter, technology-driven supply chains. He’s recognised for cutting through the hype to show businesses exactly how AI can transform planning, design and optimisation to drive sustainable and resilient supply chains. With 29 years of experience across 3 continents, Elton’s mission is clear: to help organisations separate fact from fiction, out-compete and zero in on what genuinely delivers value.

Alice Brimicombe – Business Development Director, DMS
Alice Brimicombe, CPA, is the Business Development Director at DMS, bringing 25 years of expertise in finance, accounting, and supply chain. With over a decade dedicated to supply chain transformation, she partners with clients across the Asia Pacific to drive excellence through Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Demand Planning, and Advanced Analytics. Passionate about best practices and operational efficiency, Alice is always open to discussions on supply chain innovation and process optimisation.
