ABOUT THIS EVENT

The focus is on practical trends, emerging ideas and real use cases — particularly how businesses are using AI, technology and collaboration to stay competitive despite cost pressures, skills shortages and regulatory complexity.

The intent is to create an energised conversation about opportunity across industries and encourage Australian industry to look beyond current challenges and work together to rebuild sovereign capability, scale innovation and deliver products to market faster and more effectively.

PRESENTERS

Three respected leaders will each represent supply chain, manufacturing and innovation. The goal is to discuss each speaker’s real world application of AI in these sectors and recognise practical channels for collaboration.

Anton Pirie – Director, TruFlow Spray Booths Australia
Topic:  Building Australian Manufacturing Despite the Challenges
In the past 25 years, Anton has built TruFlow Spray Booths Australia into a respected Australian manufacturing business employing more than 100 staff. Operating from Keysborough with additional facilities across Sydney, Brisbane and New Zealand, Anton has grown the business by refusing to accept the limitations that others often see as “normal”. Through innovation, persistence and measured decision-making, he has expanded internationally and positioned TruFlow as a company that customers actively seek out.
A strong believer in Australian sovereignty and local capability, Anton represents the type of manufacturer prepared to push through challenges rather than be defined by them. His leadership philosophy is grounded in purpose, long-term thinking and character. Hearing Anton speak, you quickly realise his clarity of purpose matters more than profit.

John James (JJ) – Principal Solution Consultant, Oracle NetSuite
Topic:  AI That Delivers Real Business Value
John partners with sales teams to help businesses across manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and retail/apparel evaluate and adopt NetSuite. With 17+ years in ERP, he’s known for value-led demonstrations and solutioning.  He holds a Master of Information Systems from Swinburne University.

Roydon D’Souza – Senior Engineer, Sutton Tools
Topic:  Real-World Applications of AI & Technology

Sutton Tools, is one of Australia’s oldest and most respected family-owned manufacturers. With expertise in automation, reliability engineering, lean manufacturing and Industry 4.0, Roy has played a key role in Sutton Tools’ digital transformation, helping integrate AI, advanced manufacturing technologies and data-driven decision-making into factory operations. His focus is on practical application, using technology to improve productivity, precision and long-term competitiveness.
Representing a company that has continued to invest in Australian manufacturing for more than a century, Roy brings real-world insight into how advanced manufacturing, AI and collaboration are strengthening sovereign capability. His experience demonstrates how Australian manufacturers can compete globally by embracing innovation, building capability and investing for the long term rather than competing on cost alone.

Presentations will followed by a panel discussion.
