New National Partner – First Aid Accident & Emergency
SCLAA Welcomes New National Partner – First Aid Accident & Emergency
The SCLAA welcomes our newest National Partner, First Aid Accident and Emergency. As a not for profit Industry Association, run by members for members, our ability to support the SCLAA infrastructure and to expand is highly dependent on our National Partners. We ask all our members to support our valued National Partners where they can.
First Aid Accident and Emergency Overview
Did you know over 30,000 Australians suffer an out-of-hospital Sudden Cardiac Arrest every year and 9 in 10 people won’t survive? The statistics are staggering but the great news is there is something we all can do to make a difference.
First Aid Accident & Emergency (FAAE) are excited and proud to be partnering with the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia to help educate and raise awareness in the sector on this important subject.
Being part of industry that prides itself on safety, is growing and has an active and diverse workforce, the Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia has recognised its members have an increased risk of potential incidents of sudden cardiac arrest. It is FAAE and SCLAA’s goal to help reduce the risk by providing members access to expert support and advice, competitively priced defibrillator bundles coupled with online training and education tools through this initiative.
“As a registered training organisation with over 15 years experience teaching students life saving skills in First Aid, we have seen firsthand what the impact of CPR coupled with early access to a defibrillator can have on the outcome of a sudden cardiac arrest. In 2015, we actually had to perform a rescue on a student in one of our courses, and thankfully the outcome was a positive one. It is our mission to educate and support our customers to ensure they are prepared in the event of an emergency, with the ultimate goal of having a defibrillator Sub 3 minutes in every workplace. Our partnership with SCLAA strengthens this vision and we are very proud to be supporting them on this journey to ultimately save more lives. We look forward to getting to know the SCLAA members and sector better through this initiative” FAAE Director, Scott Whimpey
