Come and celebrate International Women’s Day with a breakfast event recognising the incredible contributions of women in supply chain and logistics. Our theme this year ‘Give to Gain’. Women Driving Supply Chain Success will showcase inspiring stories, innovative ideas, and practical steps to create a more inclusive and equitable industry.

The venue is set amidst the stunning surroundings of Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens, The Terrace offers a unique experience to celebrate International Women’s Day.

This breakfast is more than just a celebration – it’s a call to action. Join us as we recognise women in supply chain, build stronger connections, and contribute to a more diverse industry.


KEYNOTE SPEAKER

   

Dr Sheila Nguyen – Founder & Director, Happy Planet People
For over 20 years, Dr. Sheila Nguyen has championed the protection of our planet through the power of sport. Her impact has been recognized globally, named the inaugural Regional Leader (Oceania) by Sport Positive, awarded Honorary Lifetime Membership by BASIS (2022), and listed among the Australian Financial Review’s Top 100 Women of Influence (2019). As Head of Sustainability for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, she led groundbreaking initiatives to embed sustainability into one of the world’s biggest tournaments. She also co-founded the Sports Environment Alliance, uniting sport and planet leaders to protect the places where we play.

PANELLISTS / SPEAKERS

 

Deanna Lomas – Executive Director of Manufacturing & Logistics, Lifeblood
Deanna was appointed Executive Director of Manufacturing & Logistics at Lifeblood in February 2025, reporting to the CEO with responsibility for blood and biological product manufacturing and distribution across Australia. She has held prior Chief Supply Officer and operational executive roles at NHP Electrical Engineering, Super Retail Group and Telstra, along with commercial and operational experience in mining and oil and gas. Deanna holds bachelor’s degrees in engineering, business and arts, and an MBA from Melbourne Business School. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow and Engineering Executive with Engineers Australia, and was awarded a Chief Executive Women and Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet STEM scholarship. Deanna also serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Finance/Audit/Risk Committee for Movember, the leading global charity changing the face of men’s health.  

 

Danusha Purcell – National Transport Manager, API
Danusha is National Transport Manager at Australian Pharmaceutical Industries (API), where she oversees national logistics operations with a focus on driving efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence. With over a decade of experience across transport and supply chain management, her expertise spans fleet management, carrier performance analysis, last mile delivery innovation, and enterprise account leadership across multiple logistics platforms. A regular speaker at industry events including the Retail Fulfilment Summit, Danusha brings practical insights on modern supply chain challenges, particularly around on-demand delivery models and last mile fulfilment strategies. She holds an Advanced Diploma of Logistics from Swinburne University and has worked across major logistics providers including efm Logistics and LSA, giving her a well rounded perspective on both client and provider side operations.

Danyely Gagetti – Regional Director Operations, Lineage Logistics 
Danyely is Regional Director of Operations at Lineage Logistics, bringing nearly twenty years of experience driving operational excellence across Australia, New Zealand, and South America. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership and consulting roles with globally recognised organisations including Mondelez International, Kmart Australia, Walmart Brazil, JBS, and XACT Solutions (now TMX), delivering large-scale supply chain transformations, network optimisation, tender processes, and strategies that have generated significant cost savings and revenue growth for blue-chip companies. Danyely brings deep expertise across retail, manufacturing, and consulting, underpinned by strong commercial acumen and a practical, results-driven approach.  


  Soumya Ranjan – Operations Manager, Mondelez 

Soumya is Operations Manager at Mondelez International, leading warehouse operations at the new Truganina National Distribution Centre. She has over ten years of experience across high-security, e-commerce, and FMCG warehousing environments. Soumya has progressed through leadership roles at the Reserve Bank of Australia, Amazon and now Mondelez, building deep expertise in complex, fast-paced operational settings. She holds a Master of Engineering from UNSW and an MBA from Melbourne Business School.
